Ancient silver earrings from Afghanistan on french wire. They have beautiful Carnelian and Turquoise inlays. Decorated with fresh water pearls and coral. Age unknown, with a wonderful patina! Beautiful old silver work with authentic tribal wear. Carnelian jewelleries were often made by turkoman tribes in northern Afghanistan, especially the Teke sub tribe is famous for this kind of carnelian jewellery. In the old oriental cultures the Carnelian stone was believed to be good for the wearer"s health and love life. The Turquoise protected against the so called evel eye and brought prosperity to its owner. |
